I have a BMW E38 740il 01 body w / Motorola StarTAC, voice recognition. doesn't work?
I do not subscribe to Verizon when the phone is physically but speech recognition doesn't work at all. does not even show on the panel when you press the button i. Something I'm missing, or what might be the problem? I figured even without the phone with a live connection and the unit operates with a minimum of GPS navigation or voice notes, thanks
Its system is not a voice recognition system for normal functions of car electronics. Just a handsfree phone system. To use the handsfree with BMW's newest phone features a Bluetooth upgrade kit that allows you to connect to your car most Bluetooth Phones that simply snaps in its place StarTAC phone. Consult your local BMW dealer for a BTUM (Bluetooth module upgrade) and the phone will be a 9000 series if the StarTAC.
