what is the difference in his case between the BMW 540i and BMW E60 E39 545i because I really do not see any, besides the obvious physical redesign and i-drive navigation and some interior changes. Personally I think the E39 540i is a better car in general because it is lighter though your CV and his remarkable difference classic look. Please correct me if im wrong. for the most part is right, the E39 5-series, has been shipping as an option, but i was not driving "than the re-design inside and outside evident, and increases in engine power and size, there isn't much difference more. if you get an E39 5-series I would try to get one of the recent years led to the design, which would be 2002. E39 5 series ran from 1997-2002. 97-99 had the orange lights of the signal, did not have xenons as an option, so I personally make sure you get a 00-02, has a facelifted front fascia and rear fascia with a better look.
