Typically carbon fiber hoods look better on lighter colored cars, because people buy them to contrast and draw attention. If your car has no other mods I think it would look pretty poor on a silver car. Darker/aftermarket rims, tinted windows, etc would help pull off the carbon fiber. make sure you buy it from a reputable brand, otherwise you’ll have a hood that fades, has warps/imperfections, etc… and you’ll need to get it painted shortly after install (under 6 months). I’ve helped a friend build up his race 240sx and he went the cheap route, the hood almost weighed as much as the stock hood, and looked terrible..
If you are getting the GTR vented hood you could paint it silver while leaving the vents CF, that looks sweet. Also, CSL carbon trunks are nice too..
